The conference and filmfestival are both taking place at Bygdøynes. Here you will you find the Kon-Tiki Museum, the Norwegian Maritime Museum and the Fram Museum.

The conference will take place at the Norwegian Maritime Museum, Røylen. Films will be shown at the Kon-Tiki Museum and the Maritime Museum (Filmfestival).

Conference free of charge

The conference Early Man and The Ocean 2010 is free of charge including a self service lunch. There will be a tapas buffet and drinks at the Kon-Tiki Museum on Thursday evening. Price NOK 350.

If you want to take part in the Early Man and the Ocean evening at the Kon-Tiki Museum at 19:00, please inform us upon registration. There will allso be a free guided tour in the Kon-Tiki Museum at 18:00 before the dinner.

Røylen (photo above) is situated at the top level of the Norwegian Maritime Museum with beautiful view of the inner Oslo fjord.
The tapas dinner buffet will take place close to the original Kon-Tiki raft at the Kon-Tiki Museum on Thursday 23rd of September at 19:00.

By The FILMFESTIVAL-PASS for only NOK 100,- Free admission to the museums for the periode 23. - 26. September. For sale at The Turist Information office in city center and at the 3 museums.

How to get to Bygdøynes

There is a regular, all year bus service (bus no. 30)
to Bygdøynes from the centre of Oslo every 10 min.
The bus stops right outside the museums.
The stop is called "Bygdøynes". For timetable click on the photo (in Norwegian).

From the 1st of April to 10th of October (2010) you can take a short, but pleasant boat trip to the Kon-Tiki Museum by the public ferry.

The second stop is called "Bygdøynes" and this is where you disembark. Ferry table 2010.
