The story of Thor Heyerdahl’s Kon-Tiki expedition and the consequences of the Kon-Tiki documentary winning an Oscar in 1951 are a real adventure. Also a new feature film about the Kon-Tiki expedition is currently in these days in production. This will be the most expensive Norwegian film ever and is being made in both Norwegian and English.
The Kon-Tiki Museum can offer to screen the original Kon-Tiki Movie with a presentation telling the story about Thor Heyerdahl`s most important expeditions and the value of the Oscar he gained from the Kon-tiki Movie. An exhibition about the same theme can also be included.
