Hene, Germany May 2026: “The Kon-Tiki Museum is an exciting and inspiring destination for visitors of all ages. The original rafts from Thor Heyerdahl's famous expeditions are impressively well preserved and provide a close-up look at the courage and spirit of discovery of bygone times. The stories behind the voyages are particularly fascinating, presented in a vivid and easy-to-understand way. The museum is clearly laid out, informative and well suited for a short but eventful visit. Films, exhibits and personal belongings bring the adventures on the high seas to life. The location on Bygdøy is also ideal and can be easily combined with other museums. A visit that is definitely worth it for anyone interested in history, adventure and unusual expeditions. “ * * * * *

Anna, Poland May 2026: “Recommended. A fantastic museum dedicated to the expedition known as Kon-Tiki, the successful attempt to sail from South America to the islands of French Polynesia on a raft, of which a replica is the museum's main attraction. In addition, there are several multimedia visualizations and films from the expedition.” * * * * *

Michael Z., July 2024: “ A delightful museum. Many real exhibits with fascinating histories. You can watch documentary footage of the journey in the museum. It is highly recommended to watch the feature film about this journey before your visit.
