Welcome to the Kon-Tiki Museum during the Autumn Break (Week 40)!
The museum is open every day from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, where the whole family can be inspired by Thor Heyerdahl’s exciting expeditions.

Children’s Activities: Monday 29 September – Sunday 5 October:

🔹 Workshop: Build your own Kon-Tiki raft
Use your imagination and build your own raft to take home! We use hot glue guns, so children must be familiar with them – or bring an adult to help. Open from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

🔹 Touch real museum objects
Have you ever felt a shark fin or a lava figure from Easter Island? Next to the workshop, there’s a table with old and exciting objects you can touch. Open from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

🔹 Lift a piece of balsa wood – be strong as a bear!
Did you know the Kon-Tiki raft was made of balsa wood? Try lifting a big piece – light as a feather, yet sturdy enough for the Pacific Ocean! Maybe the perfect photo to send to the grandparents? Open from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

🔹 Puzzle for children who can read
Find the answers to questions by exploring the exhibition. Open from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

🔹 Puzzle for the little ones
Help us find the stuffed animals hiding around the museum! Open from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

🔹 Monday 29 September – Friday 3 October at 12:30 PM: Free child-friendly guided tour:
Join an exciting journey with stories about the Kon-Tiki raft that crossed the Pacific Ocean and the RA II that sailed across the Atlantic. We finish with a flashlight tour in the cave – inspired by a real cave from Easter Island!
Suitable for children aged 6–10. Sign up at the front desk upon arrival – limited spots (first come, first served).
